I created this poster at the university before a trip to Mexico City with my class. My research has shown, that toxic masculinity, or machismo is a very relevant topic in Mexico. Although it's also relevant here in Europe, statistics on femicide in Mexico are simply shocking. 8,904 women were killed in Mexico between 2014 and 2017.

Machismo affects everyday lives of Latin American girls and women, not allowing them to make their own choices about their bodies, about their education, and their jobs.
Only 4,2% of CEO positions in Latin America are occupied by women. That means we have a lot of work to do.
